An owner should be able to approve a schema change, explain business intent and coordinate correction. A name in a catalogue is only the starting point.
Put ownership near delivery
Record the responsible product and engineering contacts in the source catalogue. Review the entry when journeys change, and include unresolved exceptions in normal delivery planning.
